STOP

Isaiah 1:15-17

15 When you spread out your hands in prayer,
I will hide my eyes from you;
even if you offer many prayers,
I will not listen.
Your hands are full of blood;

16 wash and make yourselves clean.
Take your evil deeds
out of my sight!
Stop doing wrong,

17 learn to do right!
Seek justice,
encourage the oppressed. [a]
Defend the cause of the fatherless,
plead the case of the widow. (emphasis mine)

I have been doing some thinking lately about my past and certain places God called me to leave. Even geographical changes. Sometimes we make things so difficult in our walk with Christ when the next thing He wants us to do is so simple. STOP the wrong we are doing. Quit driving around the pit of sin that you are driving around that you think this time you won't fall back in to. STOP doing WRONG...and LEARN to DO RIGHT. This is a personal word for me. We can not be free in Christ if we persist in rebellious ways. We have to yield to the Holy Spirit. What does it mean to "Learn to do right"? Do the next thing God has told you in His word. If it is an adulterous relationship see Proverbs chapters 4-8. What about gossip? Ephesians 4:29. Sexual Immorality 1 Cor. 6, Hebrews 12. Lying? Ephesians 4:25. You say Jenny it is not that easy. I have gotten sucked in to a tangled web...you have no idea how I want to say no to certain things then I feel trapped and powerless and continue to repeat certain cycles of sin. YES I DO. That is why I am saying...STOP the next thing that you are defaulting to and turn to Christ and do the next thing His word says. Put on The Spirit. Beg for More of It. Sometimes we do not have because we do not ask. Beg to be free. Your freedom will come because if you choose to walk in the light of the Lord then where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty. Please don't limit His extension of grace to any poor beggar. Yes He is wrath, yes He does not leave sin unpunished, but our God is full of compassion and grace. Do the next thing....and continue to put to death the deeds of the flesh. Seek Him with all of your heart...even if you feel that your heart is the furthest it has ever been from Christ...He is waiting on the Horizon...waiting...watching for your return. Whom He loves He chastens but we are only safe in the shadow of His wings. Resting in His Shelter.

Please pray for my little family. Morgan is still sick. I feel awful with this sinus infection...and Rod has come down with something to. My prayer is for us to all be well for my trip to San Antonio. =)

LOVE

Jen,

I just have to say that I am proud of the turn your devotionals have taken over the last several months. You are SO much bolder to just tell em' like it is:) SO PROUD OF YOU AND KEEP IT UP!!!!
I'll be praying for the little one. The Siesta Fiesta is being attacked left and right...insanity.
We need to all come together and PRAY:-)
I'm not going of course, but it would break my heart if I knew you couldn't:(
Be Blessed:)

Jenny,
This is a word in due season for me. I've been struggling in an area that HE is telling me now I must let go "do right." I pleaded with HIM about my struggle and the desires for the flesh to return...But HE showed me this...

>James 4:6-10
But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."[b]

7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Grace to the humble. I must humble myself before HIM. Oh sister! What a word!

I'm praying for you and your family.

Lord, i thank You for this day You have made. Lord, i lift up Jenny and her family. Lord, I ask You that by the blood of Jesus Christ they are covered and healed and whole. i ask You to stop the fiery darts of the evil one. i ask the evil schemes be thwarted. we choose to walk in obedience and do what is right submitting ourselves to You so that the evil one must flee. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

This was so powerful Jenny! So powerful....

I'm praying for you and the family. I'm fighting a "bug" too. BUT, our God is so much bigger than this bug and I'm believing Him to heal us before that plane takes off on Thursday!

See you soon!

I hope you all are better. Have you tried using your hair straightener as a curling iron? You just clamp the end of your hair in it and twirl around the outside of the iron. It makes really soft wavy curls. Remembered you got a new one...I have a cheap plastic one from Wally World that won't do it. Hairdresser said I need to buy a more expensive one, but I don't know which one to get.
