Call to me

Out of the mouths of babes:
Jeremiah 33:3
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'

I have been teaching Morgan verses and I am trying to get her to learn a couple a week. I am using techniques for example with this verse I will pretend to pick up the phone and say: "CALL TO ME!" and I will answer you and then we sing the rest of the verse. I think she is going to be a visual learner like me. She is getting it and I am so thrilled. I need to humble myself because I am so proud of my kid. I just pray that these will stick with her forever and be hidden in her heart. Anyway, I was freaking out earlier and she called out this verse so I said okay Lord I am getting on my face now to call out to You. I need Him so badly. I just love how He can use whatever means to get to us. I just took Him up on this verse. Then Morgan told me the verse "Open wide your mouth and I will fill it". I need that to...to eat and feast on the bread of life so I just begged Him for that and believed that He will answer in accordance with His will.

Anyway, we have a crystal like cross in our kitchen window that shoots out prisms when the sun is coming through the window. Morgan bursts into the kitchen two days ago and yells, "THANK YOU GOD!!" I was like I better go check this out. HE DID IT, she exclaimed! He brought back the rainbows. I loved it! Then this morning she was calling on Him to bring more rainbows and since the sun is not shining nothing was happening. She said, "momma I called to Him and He did not answer me." I told her why the rainbows were not coming through and I to was reminded that sometimes we think that God does not hear us or answer during the storms but He is there. After all He makes the clouds His chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.

Psalm 104:2-4

2 He wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent

3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.

4 He makes winds his messengers,
flames of fire his servants.

Call to Him and He will answer you.

Jenny Hope I think it is wonderful that you are teaching Morgan Scripture. They can retain so much when they are little and the earlier they begin to know the Word of God the better. When my children were old enough to read I would put a verse a week for them on an index card and attach it to their bathroom mirror. If they had a test or a difficult situation in school or life I would make an extra card with Scripture that applied to whatever they were going through to carry around with them.

You are a good example of a godly mommy.

How awesome that you are teaching your daughter at a young age some deep lessons... They can handle more than we think they can..

Blessings sweet one, I am encouraged by your passion for the Lord :)

I love it! Thank you for your encouraging blog. I was so struck by a story of an author who prayed this verse with his family (Jer. 33:3) that I now have it as the subtitle in my blog :-) His ways are so much higher than our ways! I love how He reveals Himself to us in such deep yet simple ways, like the rainbow and Morgan thinking that because she didn't see it, He didn't hear. The Lord is good!! May He bless your day.

Good job mom!

There is nothing more precious than hearing the Word of God coming out of the mouth of my baby! I know you feel the same way too!

Amen. I want to have child like faith.

Love you Jenny and praying for your Bible study. We start Esther tonight and the enemy is already trying to set up roadblocks. Your last Scripture just gives me God bumps as it is windy here today and I'm so glad for the visual of my Lord "riding on the wings of the wind..." Glory, His Word is good.
