I am getting on my own nerves today...

I just cleaned up an overflowing toilet of poop. Thankfully, I knew how to shut off the water quick or I would have been in deep doo-doo!! LOL!! Oh the dailiness. Then, I have had anxiety over the state of my house tonight. I have deemed myself a failure because I just can't seem to get it all done. I tried to plug away at one thing at a time. The mind is so powerful. Sometimes I just want to give up in my overwhelmed state and just surf the net. Morgan and I were going head to head today. I won't go into the details but tonight Morgan was being V.E.R.Y selfish (can anyone relate) and I told her in the car that she was going to get in trouble when she got home. Then, I hear her praying in the backseat. Then, she says, "Momma, God said Mo! (no) I don't have to go to my room when I get home...He said Mo!" Ever the manipulator bringing God into it. Then, at the mall tonight she fell down...looked up toward the sky and said, "God, please help my hand. Thank you. Amen." How I love her!!

On to the real reason for my post. Here is something a good friend of mine, Amy, wrote on her blog. Please go read it HERE.
Also, please say a prayer for her mother she has reoccurring breast cancer and is having a double mastectomy.

Rest assured - you are not the only person struggling with keeping house. The things Satan can taunt us with!! I often get comments from friends that they leave my house feeling guilty because mine is so organized and clean. HA!! If you came to my door today I would turn crimson because every room is in disarray and my kitchen smells like cheese grits from the kids breakfast that is still in the sink. So there, my friend! And as far as self-centered kids? We are in a huge battle right now with that one. Take heart! (Morgan is sooo funny - and a smart one too!)

oh girl! I am so with you on the house cleaning. My.goodness. I totally wish the house would clean itself or that I'd never have to be here so it would always stay nice looking =) They tell me when you have children in school it gets easier...we'll see. Hang in there. Loved the link btw.

On the title of your post...my family has heard me on many occasion say "I can't even stand myself!" Maybe funny but sad when I can beget so crabby I feel like I need to tell myself off. :) True.

My house is not very clean. I have one wreath hanging over the fireplace, big deal. No lights outside. I have NO shopping done. Lost all of last week to the flu. Right about now I should be in panic mode...I'm just living in denial. Not really, I'm just gonna hog tie my husband and make a list and have him help me get it done.

sending hugs. janel

Morgan is so cute praying. She has learned it from you being such a prayer warrior. When the time comes for me, I hope I can be half as good of a godly mom as you are. You are an inspiration!
