We mourn as those who have hope

I am sure if you are living on this planet you know that John Travolta's son died of a seizure disorder. My heart aches for them. It is such a tragedy to lose a child. He is a scientologist as many of you may know. Clearly, their so called "religion" is man made and offers no hope.

I believe more than anything that I can see that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. There is nothing more real to me.

It breaks my heart in their loss and mourning that they don't have a Saviour. I pray that they will come to Him through this and that the scales where they have been blinded by satan, will be lifted from their eyes. Saved or lost my heart breaks for them.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
13
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

I have felt the same way for them. Every time I see him on the news these last couple of days, I have felt a heaviness for them. You put my thoughts into words. Thank you for this verse.

My heart has been very heavy for them as well and I have prayed that this may be the situation where the Lord would reveal himself to them. I pray that their heart will feel the love that others have for them through this time.

I thought the same thing. And I realized that one day, hopefully, they will come to know Jesus. But that same day, they will realize how wrong their "religion" was and then REALLY mourn for their son.
My prayers are definitely with that family.
