Meat on the bone

Tonight I was feeling famished after my week long illness and I decided to go get some Mexican to go. I couldn't wait! I went home, dropped off some milk and hurried back to the restaurant (without wearing my seatbelt...I was so focused on it) to get my order. I got home broke out the tv tray and began to dig in. I am a very picky eater. If I were in a third world country I would make some compromises, until then I will live in today with choices. Morgan and I began to devour and then to my horror, my absolute horror, there it was...A BONE! I will not eat mexican for some time...until I can get a renewed mind and the Lord removes the memory of it as far as the east is to the west. I began to scream and Rod was like what in the world? Take it away I said. I began to run to the sink and spit out my food immediately. I couldn't even look at it. I need to get this serious about my sin people. Seriously...to be disgusted over it like I was that nasty little bone (I cringe to think of it). Rod had to explain to his friend on the phone that Jenny can't eat meat on the bone. It is quite embarrassing :). I was in a restaurant a couple of years ago and I ordered a piece of chicken...I was sure it was boneless or it would specify. The waitress brought it out and I had to explain to everyone at the table that I couldn't eat it. My sister, Heather, washed my feet that day by cutting the chicken off of the bone while I turned away and she disposed of the bones. Rod is teaching morgan to like sea roaches now (shrimp). I know I will have to face my fears with this one. The Lord would have it that I married my polar OPPOSITE. He will sit there and naw on bones like an animal eating its prey...SICK! Anything he eats I won't we have separate meals almost always. That one little bone ruined the whole thing for me. That is just like sin it may be pleasurable for a season but it will always leave us bone dry and ruin the feast that we could have at the Lord's table instead.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8
6Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? 7Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 8Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.

So, since dinner was ruined I began to pick through my skittles and get the red and purples out so I could feast on them...I will take orange for the last resort but the yellow and green get tossed. Weird I know. I don't want to think about this anymore...I am going to go and take thoughts captive now. Oh I failed to mention that I was in Walmart and the lady from the deli was putting out some rotisserie chicken (I have no clue if I spelled that right) and she was making quite a scene trying to get customers to buy the $2 bbq chicken. I wanted to scream NO! DONT DO IT to all of the people who were taking her up on it. But I can't control their free will. Anyway, she looks to me and I did the look away thing so hopefully she wouldn't know I heard her proposition. She said it louder: "Mam, do you want this chicken it is $2?" No, I replied kindly, I do not eat meat on the bone...EVERYONE in line turned and looked at me. oh well.

This is getting freaky. Meat on the bone grosses me out...what are we, carnivores?

I could go vegetarian so easily. Just a little nudge, and I would be right there.

I also cannot eat any meat of an animal if I know who killed it or when it was killed. When I go to the store/restaurant and get meat, I don't associate it with an animal. But if I know when it was alive, no, I just can't do it.

Too funny. We all have our little things that make us unique. How funny that your husband is your polar opposite. I think God does that to help balance us out. My husband helps me with all my wierd little things - he is a true gift from God. By the way, the pics of Morgan are so sweeet. I wish I used my camera more. I did take pictures of Connor last day of school today - of course I had to keep from crying.
Much love

Hi Jenny,
I linked to your blog from a former neighbor of mine, Kim Andrews. Isn't this a small world? She lived in our cul-de-sac before she moved to Ga. You two would love each other in person, also. You both have the same energy and compassion for others. Just wanted to let you know I found you and will keep watching your blog. You have always been an inspiration to me on how to love the Lord. Please let me know if you lead "Calm My Anxious Heart" again. I hated to not do that study.

Jenny,
I do not believe in coincidences and I am so excited about you leading this Bible Study on Tues. I talked to Julie tonight and I think she is going to come. I am also going to drive over from Ga so she and I can have dinner together and then I will be coming to the study as well. However, I will not be able to attend every week - hehe. Julie is very shy and I do not think she would have come otherwise.
Girl, I think we are kindred spirits and I am looking forward to meeting you in person.
Much love my sista!! See you Tuesday!!

(Always praying for you!
For God to bring a peace to you on Tuesday night that surpasses all understanding - Jehovah Shalom - God of peace!! God will infuse you with the might of His spirit and that His words will be flowing freely from you so that the women will hear what He has to say to them throughout the study)
You can do all things through Christ!! (Phil 4:13)

Jenny,
I wanted to let you know that I have saved your contact info but deleted it from the blog. I did not want anyone to have your phone number or e-mail address. (my mom has already called me saying "you have a blog - you know there are wierd people out there - hehe)

I know what you mean about Kay and the marking in the Bible stuff. That is not my favorite thing but there are a few of her studies that have been amazing. I loved Covenant and Lord I want to know you(the names of God study). Those are 2 that have really stuck with me. Covenant is one that is a "must do" at some point.

You cracked me up about the deodorant thing. Do you have someone you pray with before you get in front of everyone? I do so much better when I have friends meet me before my study begins and pray over and with me. It makes a world of difference. I can now get in front of people with just a slight bit of anxiety and that usually passes within moments. I would love to meet you this Tues night if you want and pray with you. You say when and I am there!!
We are family and I do anything for my family :)
See you soon,
Kim
