This is a song that i loved when I was in high school. So good. Anyway, it is by DC Talk. If you have never heard it it is so good. I don't know why I just thought of it...I have not heard this in years! I just started singing it and can't get it out of my head. ps I am about to go to "Wising Up" I am having A LOT of muscular pain and a severe headache. It scares me everytime I get one I think...what if this is spinal meningitis again. I just really feel bad so I could use some extra prayers!

What If I Stumble?[the greatest single cause of atheism in the world today
Is christians who acknowledge jesus with their lips
Then walk out the door and deny him by their lifestyle.
That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.]

What if I stumble?
What if I fall?
Is this one for the people?
Is this one for the lord?
Or do I simply serenade for things I must afford?
You can jumble them together, my conflict still remains
Holiness is calling, in the midst of courting fame
Cause I see the trust in their eyes
Though the sky is falling
They need your love in their lives
Compromise is calling
What if I stumble, what if I fall?
What if I lose my step and I make fools of us all?
Will the love continue when my walk becomes a crawl?
What if I stumble, and what if I fall?
What if I stumble, what if I fall?
You never turn in the heat of it all
What if I stumble, what if I fall?
Father please forgive me for I can not compose
The fear that lives within me
Or the rate at which it grows
If struggle has a purpose
On the narrow road you’ve carved
Why do I dread my trespasses will leave a deadly scar
Do they see the fear in my eyes?
Are they so revealing?
This time I cannot disguise
All the doubt I’m feeling
(repeat chorus)
What if I stumble?
Everyone’s got to crawl when you know that
You’re up against a wall, it’s about to fall
Everyone’s got to crawl when you know that (2x)
I hear you whispering my name [you say]
"my love for you will never change" [never change]
(repeat chorus 2x)
What if I stumble, what if I fall?
You never turn in the heat of it all
What if I stumble, what if I fall?
You are my comfort, and my god
Is this one for the people, is this one for the lord? What If I Stumble?

Hey! I love that song! I read the lyrics several times and was thinking of how that plays(played, will play!) out in my life. I think one thing that the Lord has done in my life is given me the courage to be transparent with people in all of my stumbles and falls. When we don't pretend with people, especially non-believers, it does open the door to share the power of God in our weaknesses. Also though, we have to live our lives as one who really is being transformed, not a Christian
"front". I think it all comes down to authenticity. That speaks the loudest.
Thanks for shareing! Blessings!

Jenny, Just got in from bible study (which was awesome) and checked my blog. I haven't had any comments from you. Are you sure you have the right one?

Great song...wouldn't it be nice if people were more transparent and it didn't matter if we stumbled and fell..b/c we all do at some point!
I have learned the more I lay it out there the more support I get and the more others are real with me. It is too much work to fake it!! Just lay it all out there and let them take it or leave it!!
Love ya siesta- you speak truth girl!!

I have cried my eyes out to that song before!

It was back in the day before everyone had CDs...I hated that I had to rewind over and over when I wanted to listen to it again:)

Be Blessed:)
