Thy Rod and Thy Power Adaptor comfort me

We are supposed to have some pretty heavy storms rolling in tonight and what is sad is that I have planned my hair day around the storms. I know it is vain but I still have my priorities straight. I can't show up at Morgans preschool looking like the '08 version of Medusa.
Just humor me. I went ahead and washed and dried my hair in case the power goes out. Rod says we have underground power so that we shouldn't lose it (I only secretly asked to plan for my hair).
What about my straightener? Then, I feel as if the Holy spirit may have reminded me (wink wink) Rod has a wonderful plug in adaptor and I could actually sit in my car and straighten my hair if need be. He was never a boy scout (to much of a rebel for that) but the man is endlessly prepared for certain random things. You need any trivia? He is a walking, loud talking (too many gun shots=hearing loss) encyclopedia. And dude can improvise on a whim.

HELP!!!!!
I am praying through what bible study to teach in the spring and would like some input. I have done all of the Beth Moore's but I am open to any of them again. Can you tell me any bible study that has really impacted you and why?!?

I think you should write your own.

Yeah...I think we are going to do Priscilla Shirer as well...."Discerning the voice of God." Bethanne kinda sold me on it for when we finish Wising Up in 2 weeks.

You crack me up Jenny. :)
Love ya~

You are a lot of fun, girl! :) I am also intrigued to do a Priscilla Shirer study. I've done most of Beth's but it would be neat to enter uncharted territory. ;) And wow I didn't realize she was Tony Evans' daughter!

I do love "When Godly People Do Ungodly Things." That, Breaking Free, and Believing God are the studies that have impacted me the most. I also really liked "Calm My Anxious Heart" by ... Linda Dillow, I think?

Hi Jenny ~ what a great and inspirational site you have. I followed you from Bookworman who I followed from the LPM site. I was at the Beth Moore conference last weekend in Vancouver and it was really awesome!

I want to tell you about a bible study that I did with a group of ladies by Mary Kassian from Alabaster Flask ministries in Calgary. Lifeway sells her stuff as well.

We did "Vertically Inclined" and it has DVDs with it. We really enjoyed the study because it really challenged us personally.

All the best to you!

Ruth

Hey Ruth! I did conversation peace by her and I bought the vertically inclined workbook but I never did it. I will have to go back and look at it.

Also, Faith I led Calm My Anxious Heart last year and it was such a good study. we have a lady that used to lead it each time and the response was overwhelming! Thanks so much!

twinkle you are such an encouragement! Seriously! All of you are.

Jenny,
Love your blog! (I've been lurking around the lproof blog for months and occassionally commenting, but only now branching out to some others and trying one of my own...) My co-workers and I have done many Beth Moore studies as well. This time, we decided also to do Priscilla Shirer "He Speaks to Me" (designed to be done before "Discerning the Voice of God") We're on Week 3 and we positively LOVE this study. It's incredibly powerful and we're learning so much about preparing ourselves to hear God's voice. Highly recommend it! = )
Blessings,
Tracy
