Compassion International Calcutta Trip

If you have not gone here please go and sit for a while and take it all in. It will move you and make you want to do something. I am so ashamed at myself and my own greed after reading this. I realize the spiritual poverty of my soul when I get so caught up in Western living...how deceiving. For a simple $32 a month you can help a child in desperate need. I beg you to read Melissa's posts. Every last one.
I called my phone company tonight and took the unlimited texts off my phone package and got it to where I can save money to sponsor a little boy. I pray God opens my eyes to more ways that I can deny myself and be able to help others. The real sacrifice is in not doing something to help those who can not help themselves. We miss out on the whole heart that God wants us to have toward His children.

Amen Jenny! It's humbling to realize how much I have when they have nothing.

So true, Jenny! I admire you for your compassion and changing your lifestyle to help another. If we would all do that the world would indeed a better place.

Great post!

You go Jenny!!!! I truly can't absorb all that I've read and seen this past week while the team has been in India.

After that post of melissa's, I truly felt sick. I felt sick sitting in my house watching tv and living just fine. SICK.

Trying to figure it out. Praying alot. Asking God for something.

Love you,
Fran

Have a very Happy, Blessed Mother's Day Sunday. You are a marvelous mom to that sweet Morgan. The love in your heart just spills over and touches so many, many lives.

I am blessed by you.
