I love this passage in Acts. I love that God in His economy chooses the foolish things of the world to shame and confound the wise. In these verses where it says that Peter and John were unschooled ordinary (in my version NIV) men...the word in the greek is the word translated that they were idiots. God used a bunch of unschooled ordinary (idiots) to turn the world UP SIDE down and we are still experiencing the earth quake type impact that was caused by their tenure on planet earth. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever so He will use us no matter our personal background, lack of education, or failure. I love Him so much!

This is from an experiencing God devo:
October 7
Scripture:When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and knew that they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13, Holman CSB)
Thought:None of the people God ever encountered could remain the same afterwards. They had to make major adjustments in their lives in order to walk obediently with God. If you keep your life God-centered, you will immediately put your life alongside His activity. Two fishermen, Peter and John, became bold preachers in the cities of the world. What can you become if you place your life alongside God's activity?
Prayer:Bold Mover of mountains, I know I do not have the capability in my strength, but neither did Peter and John. Help me keep life God-centered so I may always be in the center of Your work. Amen
