Is it just me?

This is going to be very random but I have a quick story. I left work tonight and went to Walmart to get Roderick some hair gel and etc. I was so worn out from this sinus infection and just really wanted to get home. I searched for a line and parked and waited. Then an older man came behind me in line with a small purchase (poker cards, magnifying glasses, and some tic tacs I do believe...aren't you glad that I am so nosey?). Here is the part that I want to know. Do you have a problem when people invade your space? I call it "invading my space bubble". Does anyone else call it that? Like the invisible bubble around you that says you can come this farther and no more...like some inch boundaries. So, I kid you not I waited in line with this man behind me for AT LEAST 20 minutes. Every time I moved back to give him the signal that he was a space invader he inched closer. He was literally like an inch from me at all times. I began to have a little fear over this and thought maybe I was just being paranoid and that I might need to put my hand on my glock just in case (I am kidding). I pretty much thought he was about to jump in my shopping cart (a.k.a. buggy). I said goodbye and told him I was glad he got a new heart and some kidneys and ran like mad to my car. It was a strange time. Do you have "space bubble issues" and struggle with close talkers?

ps Faith just reminded me to put this...i don't have the space bubble issues with people that are family, friends, and etc...just strangers.

Goodness, you are so cute!! And yes, I definitely have issues like that. In my interpersonal communication class in college, we talked about "social distance"--there are norms for that in each culture, so you are not alone by being annoyed by that! With my husband, sisters, and close friends, I don't really have "personal space," but with random strangers I sure do!!

That is SO COOL that you were at the taping! Just another confirmation to me that I am in the study He wants me to be in since He recently introduced us!

I have so much more to say and ask, but I HAVE to get to school. Have a wonderful day!

Mrs. D

That is so funny! Reminds me of something that should be on a Seinfeld episode!

I could not agree more!!! I have never called it my "space bubble", but just "my personal space"! Space bubble is pretty cute though. I find it weird that these people who invade that space don't have their own "personal space"!! You are not alone! That drives me crazy!! Especially when it is a man! Totally wiggs me out!!

Ok, Jenny, here are my questions...

1. How on earth did you get to go to the taping? Is it by invitation only?

2. Was it just totally cool and awesome to be in the midst of so many ladies on fire for the Word? And being led by Beth?

3. Does she do all the tapings at once? Or over several days? I am not sure I understand how that all works. And how do you do your homework if so? I am just confused.

Ok, that is enough for now. But I absolutely cannot WAIT to tell the girls I am doing the study with that I met someone who was there! God is so good! I have been really struggling lately. I obeyed Him (see my post about Different), but I have been feeling so lonely, so forgotten. It is so good to know that He knows exactly where I am at this minute.

Thanks for your faithfulness!

This is so funny that you posted this! Last night I was at the grocery store and this drunk guy behind me was so in my personal space!! I was so annoyed I wanted to slap him! Seriously! When I got out of there I told my hubby (who was waiting in the car) all about what happened and how I hate people in my space! I also don't like close talkers!!

I think I might have missed something because I don't remember anything about a new heart and kidneys...is that from a sitcom? I am totally out of the loop! Anyway, yes Jenny, I agree, personal space invading strangers are quite uncomfortable!

PERSONAL space people. Hence the name "personal." Its personal so keep at least some space away....a good amount of space. Unless I know you of course! :) Then its all good.

Oh man I am glad I do not have space bubble issues b/c people are always telling me stuff and thinking I am their counselor - I mean total strangers.
