Taco, Burrito, what's coming out of your speedo?

Does anyone remember that Spartan cheer from Saturday night live back in the day? I was craving a burrito a few minutes ago and I decided to load the side kick up and head to Taco Bell (which normally i find nasty but not tonight) at almost midnight. At first I thought I was headed out for a burrito until my breath was taken away at the sight of the moon. It looked as if the Lord had just put half of it in His Holy Pocket. My heart began to pound when I saw it and of course I thought He may just part the curtain of the sky and call me to meet Him in the air. I drove and got my burrito and then came back home but decided to go to the top of a hill to look at the moon. Well, did I mention I took Night time cold medicine before I left? Not a good plan but I usually do ok with that kind of stuff. Our police department DOES NOT play where I live. This cop ruined my whole "God and the Moon" moment by following me all around the neighborhood to my house. So what was awe turned to heart pounding anxiety. I got pulled over last year for driving to slow. Anyway, all in a day people all in a day!

Isaiah 40:8-10
8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."
9 You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, "Here is your God!"
10 See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.

ps Tam Trussville is only a twenty minute drive for me so I am sure I will be blessing you with my blog of randomness! ha ha

sammie your encouragement this morning means so much! Seriously! And you are so right about Guarding your heart above all things it truly effects everything that we do. Also, I taught in the Singles for almost seven years and the Lord called me out of that and I am in a hold pattern that is probably why I blog so much. The Lord has so much to do in me. This morning I was reading about obedience and how Jesus came to do His will to the point of death. Oh how I need that and I need the Spirits help. Anyway, you are so sweet! love jenny

Very much agree with Sammie too! I have not known of a woman quite like you - and that's a compliment! You are inspiring and have a lot to offer the youth and us grown ones too. You have eluded to much hardship in your past - being brought out of the pit... Use it to comfort others, to minister to others, to be an example to others...it is a gift to you for His ultimate Glory!

(sigh of relief that you'll only be 20 minutes away! =)
