the b&b was wonderful -- it was originally built in 1876 by a man from Savannah (imagine that!!! i grew up NEAR savannah!!!). maine really IS as beautiful as they say it is!
the poem "where the mountains meet the sea" was written about the area that we were in - the islands were all jutting out of the sea, made by glaciers a gazillion years ago.... Jenny: it was nothing short of breathtaking.
the town was called "Bar Harbor" .... look it up. its so amazing! thanks for asking!!!
